Living Waters
Mark Boucher sponsors some of the children at The Living Waters with educational bursaries and he sends some old gear. He follows the progress and some
of the lives of some of the kids there with a keen interest via reports from Melonie Gobel, the CEO of Living Waters. Mark was born in East-London and attended
schools in the Eastern Cape and he always tries to find time to do whatever he can to give back to the people and the area.
Living Waters was founded in 1997. Their mission is to eliminate violence and illiteracy and restore dignity in the community. They teach life- and job skills and
they provide food. Living Waters provides safe houses to help protect abused women and children and bursary programs for underprivileged school children.
Living Waters’ humble beginning was a handful of ordinary citizens who had an extraordinary vision for the Eastern Cape, they believe the fabric of tomorrow’s
generation can be strengthened –literally, and by touching one life at a time, generations will be impacted.
